Pressure Monitoring

Development of enhanced digital solutions is critical to underpin a fair energy transition. This project focusses on the creation of a new breed of technology for a future Smart Gas Grid. Network operators are under increasing pressure to lay the foundations for the Energy Systems Transition to low/zero carbon, whilst maintaining customer services and to optimise efficiency.

This project sees innovation undertaken by Renda working with Northern Gas Networks, aims to apply new digital technologies such as industrial IoT technology incorporating Machine Learning and AI systems that facilitate new insights into the overall management and decision-making processes. The availability of such data and use in operating processes will accelerate the adoption of digitalisation, supported by the deployment of AI solutions.

Start ingesting other available or open-source data, like weather, to enrich the information, and layer on machine learning and AI, and in time we’ll be able to carry out predicted maintenance before problems even start.”
